Pacific Student For Christ's vision is for students to reach students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to motivate, instruct, and guide them in evangelism and Christian discipleship with the aim of helping them become mature Christian leaders.

Our Strategic Plan maps out a genesis for a new look PSFC with clear good governance practices founded on absolute biblical standards, strong office and administration policies, defined objectives and realistic achievable goals to not only equip students to reach other students for Christ, but most importantly cultivate and encourage strong discipleship amongst students to sustain them in their election.

GovernanceFunction
The Governance focus areas cover various key functions that ensure the Ministry is governed with sound doctrinal advice, strategic vision, effective policies, relevant plans supported with committed board members, staff, and the student council. Objectives Improve all relevant policies. Developed capacity of board members. Enhance Spiritual Development. Strategy Review/Develop policies. Organise trainings and capacity development initiatives for board members and staff. Quarterly retreats for Board members. Activities Develop new policies/revise existing policies. ManagementFunction
Crucial to the successful management of the ministry areas are capable, committed, and dedicated teams at PSFC. Further, the ministry needs to keep investing into staff members and students as well as support them to be diligent in carrying out key activities identified in this plan. Objectives Improve human resources capacity, skills, and work environment. Improve working facilities. Strategy Recruitment of staff and volunteers. Design and implement a strategic leadership program for PSFC. Upgrade facilities/equipment. Improve security and safety. Activities Recruit staff. Develop succession plan. Seek sponsorship. Procurement of new equipment/safety & first aid equipment. |
Function
For PSFC to survive financially in today’s commercial environment, there is a need to design and implement sound financial strategies. It is important that commitment from stakeholders are strengthened in this area in order to keep growing the work of PSFC and to achieve proposed benchmarks such as greater incentives for staff, purchase of immovable property for PSFC, and expanding our ministry outreach. Objectives Improve all relevant financial and governance policies. Developed capacity of Board members, staff and students to ensure we all contribute to raising ministry funds. Strategy Review/Develop financial policies. Design and implement fundraising plans and income generating activities. Stronger monitoring and regularly update on the current financial situation. Activities Develop new policies/revise existing financial policies. Increased financial partnerships. Increased income generating activities. Applying for grants, donors, and sponsorship that meets the strategic vision of PSFC. Stronger partnership with churches to assist us in our ministry opportunities. |
Function
Continue to grow PSFC’s ministry’s influence and outreach by designing projects that will assist in sustaining the ministry. Further key investment plans need to be designed and prayerfully considered. We cannot rely on being another Christian ministry operating on faith without works, we must aspire to grow PSFC’s ministry focus, areas, and outreach through sound investment plans and dutifully walking our faith level. Objectives Design sound investment plans/strategies with clear achievable goals Identify income generating opportunities. Effectively implement fundraising strategies. Strategy Review/develop and implement financial policies. Organise trainings and capacity development initiatives staff and volunteers on how to effectively monitor activities as well as pursue income generating activities. Periodic review of implementation strategies and proper SWOT analysis. Activities Develop new policies/revise existing policies and effectively implement the policies. Student MinistryFunction
Student’s Ministry is the backbone of our existence. We must continue to not just strengthen student ministry but also engage in student’s ministry creatively taking into consideration the challenging times we are in. Student ministry must be relevant, practical, and tailored to meet the demands of Christian students in campuses while empowering them to be the salt and light in campus. Objectives Improve interactions and communications with the student council, CF executives and ASW’s. Develop capacity and ability of student leaders to confidently engage with their peers; managers and lecturers in campuses. Christian students grow to spiritual maturity. Strategy Review/Develop/Strengthen key programs and ministry areas that will enhance and encourage Christian fellowships. Organise strategic and targeted training /capacity development initiatives for students. Design and implement a strategic leadership program for PSFC. Build the capacity of the Student Council so they can confidently engage with student leaders. Activities Leadership Training. Design and engage in activities that are fun, interactive, and tailored for young, tertiary students including camps, seminars, rallies; overseas missions etc. Strengthen camping ministries including designing girls & boys camps etc. More inter-varsity fellowships. |
Graduate MinistryFunction
The Graduates Ministry is a crucial part of PSFC’s outreach therefore this is an area that needs attention and infusion of energy and resources to revive and strengthen this ministry area. Objectives Revive and strengthen Graduates ministry. Engage graduates to be financial partners and resources for Christian fellowship groups. Strengthen networking and connectivity of graduates. Strategy Review/Develop ministry opportunities including prayer networks. Organise fun activities taking into consideration graduates time and ability to commit to key programs. Design an annual activity for Graduates. Activities Strengthen graduates fellowship through prayer meetings and prayer breakfast or an annual graduates dinner. Family Fun Day. Encourage graduates to be ASW’s. |
